Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy provides information about which data is processed when using the mobile application Parentli (hereinafter referred to as the "App").
1. Data Controller

2. General Information on Data Processing
Protecting the privacy of our users is a high priority for Parentli. The App was developed according to the principle of Privacy by Design.
The App follows an offline-first approach. This means that most data is stored exclusively locally on the user's device and is not transmitted to the Provider's servers.
No user accounts are created, and no registration is required.
3. Locally Stored Data
The following information is stored exclusively locally on the device:
- chosen persona (e.g., mom, dad, neutral)
- optional display name
- number and age groups of children
- selected topic categories
- saved favorites
- hidden affirmations
- affirmations already displayed
- notification settings
- font and display settings
- selected interaction mode (Breath mode or Swipe mode)
This data remains exclusively on the user's device and is not transmitted to the Provider.
This data is deleted when the App is uninstalled or by using the "Reset Data" function in the settings.
Optionally submitted feedback data:
If the feedback function is used voluntarily, the following data is transmitted to a server and stored there (see Section 5):
- feedback text
- technical device information (App version, device model, operating system version)
- timestamp
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers optional paid content ("Premium") via in-app purchases through the Apple App Store.
Payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. The Provider does not receive any payment data such as credit card information.
For managing and validating subscriptions, the App uses the service:
RevenueCat, Inc.
RevenueCat processes pseudonymized identifiers based on legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR), such as:
- store transaction IDs
- App user IDs
- subscription status
This data is used exclusively to validate the Premium status of the App.

5. Feedback Function
The App offers an optional function through which users can submit anonymous feedback about the App.
When a user sends feedback, the following information may be transmitted and stored:
- the feedback text entered by the user
- App version
- device model (e.g., iPhone model)
- operating system version
- time of submission
This information is used exclusively to analyze errors and improve the App.
Submitting feedback is voluntary. Users can decide for themselves whether they want to send feedback.
The data is not linked to a user account and generally does not allow for direct identification of the individual.
Hosting: Feedback data is stored via the hosting service Supabase Inc. (https://supabase.com). Supabase is used as a technical service provider for storing and processing data. Processing is carried out on the basis of a Data Processing Agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
Data is stored in data centers within the European Union.
Deletion: Feedback data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the analysis and improvement of the App, at the latest after 24 months.
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest) in improving the stability and user-friendliness of the App.
6. Notifications
The App can display local notifications to remind users of affirmations or breathing exercises.
These notifications:
- are scheduled exclusively locally on the device
- are not sent via the Provider's servers
- require explicit consent via the device's system settings
The settings for frequency and time windows of notifications can be changed or deactivated at any time within the App.
7. Widgets
The App offers widgets for the home and lock screen (iOS).
Widgets exclusively access locally stored content of the App. No personal data is transmitted to external servers.
8. Server Log Data of the Website
When visiting the website (e.g., to view this Privacy Policy), the hosting provider may automatically collect information, including:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- browser type
- operating system
- page accessed
This data is processed exclusively for the technical provision of the website and is not merged with other data sources.
Hosting Provider: Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Data processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) for the secure and stable provision of the website.
9. Disclosure of Data
In principle, personal data is not disclosed to third parties.
The only exceptions are technically necessary services in connection with:
- payment processing via the Apple App Store
- subscription management via RevenueCat
- hosting providers for storing feedback reports (Supabase)
10. User Rights
Users have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
Since most data is stored exclusively locally on the device, users can delete it themselves at any time by uninstalling the App or resetting the data in the App settings.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
The Provider reserves the right to adjust this Privacy Policy if this becomes necessary due to technical changes or legal requirements.
The current version can be viewed on the website and within the App.
